Manhattan Potato Festival

The little town of Manhattan, Montana has a big event this Saturday. The 31st Annual Potato Festival is a celebration of the town's harvest and will have a little bit of everything including food, arts and crafts, a parade, live music and over 100 prizes available through a raffle. The festival is known as a place to see old friends and make new ones, all while enjoying activities fit for young and old.
Schedule of Events:
6-10 am: Fireman's Breakfast on Main Street
7:30 am: Horseshoe Hills Run 5K. Contact the Manhattan Athletic Club for details at 282-2080.
8 am: Car Show registration.
9am-4pm: Arts and Crafts, Food Booths, Kid's Fun Center and a Canine Cooling Station on S. 4th St.
9am-1pm: Manhattan Senior Center Fundraiser- Baked Potato Feed for $5.
9am-3pm: Car Show on North Broadway.
9-11am: Live music at the Gazebo: Joe Man
10 am: Parade Lineup begins on Culver Place and Wooden Shoe Lane.
11 am: Parade begins and fundraising luncheon at L&F Market on Main Street.
12-3pm: Live Music at the Gazebo.
1 pm: Duck Race at the corner of North Broadway and Fulton.
3 pm: Winners of Guess the Spud, car show and raffles announced at the Gazebo.
8pm-2am: Rocky Mountain Pearls at the American Legion Post 87.
9pm-2am: Comstock Load at the Broken Arrow.
Parade floats will center around the "Dog Days of Summer" theme, which is quite fitting considering the weather lately.
Raffles can be purchased before the festival at Nogan's Cafe, Manhattan Bank or L&F Market. To purchase at the festival, visit the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce information booth. Tickets are 1 for $1 or 6 for $5. The grand prize is a two night Family Fun Package at Fairmont Hot Springs!
A free shuttle is available from the parking area (the field off the interstate) from 8:30 am - 4 pm.
